Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer Procedures

Last updated: 1 June 2026

This Policy forms part of Hyper Lucky's Terms of Service. By creating an account or using hyperlucky.com, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Why We Have This Policy

Hyper Lucky is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime on our platform. This Policy explains how we verify who our customers are, monitor activity on our platform, and meet our legal obligations under anti-money laundering ("AML") and Know Your Customer ("KYC") regulations.

Our approach is built on five pillars:

  • Verifying customer identity (KYC)
  • Monitoring transactions and account activity
  • Reporting suspicious activity to the relevant authorities
  • Training our staff to recognise and respond to risk
  • Independent internal audit of our controls

2. Using Our Platform: What You Confirm

By accepting this Policy and our Terms & Conditions, you confirm that:

  • You've completed registration truthfully and accurately
  • You meet the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction (18+)
  • You are not under legal supervision or restricted from conducting business
  • You're registering and playing for yourself, not on behalf of anyone else
  • Your account is for personal, non-commercial use only
  • You hold no advance knowledge of any bet outcome before placing it
  • You do not hold multiple accounts with us
  • You will not transfer funds between accounts, or buy, sell, or transfer your account to another person

3. Identity Verification (KYC)

Verifying who our customers are is one of the most important tools we use to keep the platform safe. We follow internationally recognised KYC standards and require reliable, independent documentation before a customer's identity is confirmed.

What we ask for

Depending on your circumstances, we may request:

  • A government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID, or driving licence)
  • A clear photo or selfie to confirm it's really you
  • Proof of address or a bank reference (such as a recent utility bill or bank statement), where required

How does verification work?

When verification is required, we'll send you a secure link to upload your documents. The process is quick: you'll select your country and ID type, upload your document and a selfie, review your details for accuracy, and submit. You'll be able to track your verification status from your account at any time, and we'll notify you once the review is complete.

When we verify you

We may ask you to complete KYC verification before your first deposit, particularly where this is required by our payment partners. We also reserve the right to request verification at any time, including:

  • On an ongoing basis, to keep your information current
  • If your account activity appears unusual for you, or raises a risk concern
  • Before processing withdrawals or large/frequent transactions

If verification is requested, we ask that you respond promptly and provide accurate documentation. We may pause withdrawals, or place a temporary hold on an account, until verification is complete.

Who can use Hyper Lucky?

We're unable to offer our services to residents of certain countries due to local laws and licensing restrictions. Our full list of restricted territories is set out in our Terms & Conditions. We may decline or close an account at our discretion, and we don't offer services to individuals identified as Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs). If your account is closed for this reason, any remaining real-money balance will be returned to you in line with applicable regulatory requirements. If you believe a PEP determination has been made in error, please contact us.

Working with a trusted verification partner

We work with a specialist, regulated identity-verification provider to carry out KYC checks on our behalf. Any personal data shared during this process is handled securely and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including GDPR.

4. Anti-Money Laundering

Hyper Lucky has zero tolerance for money laundering - the practice of disguising the proceeds of illegal activity as legitimate funds. We comply with all applicable AML laws, and our staff are required to do the same.

By using Hyper Lucky, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws relating to money laundering and proceeds of crime
  • Cooperate with us if we request information about your account, transactions, or source of funds
  • Accept that we may delay, decline, or reverse a transaction, or suspend or freeze an account, where we reasonably believe it relates to unlawful activity

Monitoring and screening

We screen customers against recognised international sanctions and PEP watchlists as part of our onboarding and ongoing monitoring process. We also monitor account activity on a risk basis, looking for patterns that may indicate money laundering or fraud - for example, unusual transaction patterns, reluctance to provide source-of-funds information, or activity inconsistent with a customer's profile. Where we identify a concern, we may request further information, restrict an account, or report the activity to the relevant authorities.

Sharing information

Where legally required, we may share customer information with regulators, law enforcement, courts, financial institutions, or service providers who support our compliance obligations. Any such sharing is carried out under appropriate confidentiality and data protection safeguards.

5. How We Govern This Policy

Compliance Officer

Our Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing this Policy, including customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, and liaison with law enforcement and regulators where required.

Staff training

All relevant staff receive regular training on AML and KYC obligations, covering how money laundering occurs, how to recognise red flags, relevant legislation, and their responsibilities for reporting concerns. Training is provided when staff join and refreshed on an ongoing basis.

Independent review

Our AML and KYC controls are subject to periodic, risk-based internal audits to confirm they remain effective and compliant with applicable law. Audit findings are reported directly to senior management.
